Biwako Valley
“Biwako Valley” is a mountain resort spread across Mt. Uchimi and Mt. Horai in the southwest of Lake Biwa, and it is a popular sightseeing spot you can enjoy throughout the year. They offer a variety of winter activities, such as skiing and snowboarding, in winter, and breathtaking scenery and fun activities in summer. If you take the ropeway up to the top of the mountain and get to “Biwako Terrace,” it offers a spectacular panoramic view of Lake Biwa from an elevation of approximately 1,100 meters. At the terrace, there are some cafes and restaurants, so you can enjoy a meal and café time while admiring the beautiful views. Additionally, they offer active and exciting activities, such as a zip line and skywalk.
